ICYMI: NIH Cuts Prompt Layoffs at University of Maryland School of Pharmacy   

July 9, 2025  WASHINGTON, DC – In case you missed it, the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy PATIENTS Program experienced mass layoffs due to this Administration’s cuts to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).   The PATIENTS program allows researchers to partner with patients and care providers to answer questions about the best treatment to improve their health and quality of life. Alsobrooks Votes NO on Republicans’ Callous Bill

July 1, 2025 WASHINGTON, DC – Today, after more than 24 hours of voting, Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) voted no on Republicans’ ‘Big, Bad Bill.’ Senator Alsobrooks released the following statement:  “Republicans have jammed through a cruel and callous bill that will rip health care and food assistance away from millions of Americans. All so Donald Trump can give massive tax breaks to his billionaire donors. Alsobrooks Votes YES on War Powers Resolution

June 27, 2025 WASHINGTON, DC – Tonight, Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) voted yes on Senator Tim Kaine’s (D-Va.) War Powers Resolution. The resolution failed 47-53. “Last week’s dramatic escalation by President Trump put American servicemembers and the American citizenry at risk.
