WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) grilled Trump’s nominee for Assistant Secretary for Health, Dr. Brian Christine. Senator Alsobrooks questioned Dr. Christine on previous comments he made on a podcast about his preference for returning to “traditional gender roles” and women doing what they are “supposed” to do – “raising children” and “propagating the species.” He even refused to answer a question about funding teen pregnancy prevention programs – a program that has a proven success rate in his home state of Alabama, yet is slated to be eliminated by this Administration. It is clear Dr. Christine will be a rubber stamp for Trump and RFK. Senator Alsobrooks will vote NO on his nomination.
