WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) and Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) released a 54-page report chronicling at least one example of Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s costly, chaotic, and corrupt actions from every day he has served as Secretary.

“For 203 days, the American people have been subjected to the incompetency and dangers of RFK Jr. He has caused chaos, raised costs, and furthered the corruption at the core of Trump’s agenda. Our damning report makes it devastatingly clear: RFK Jr. must resign or be fired immediately. Four months ago, I became the first Senator to call for RFK Jr.’s resignation because I spoke with the scientists at NIH – they are my constituents. If RFK Jr. does not love his country enough to resign, the American people will continue to pay with their lives. We are sick of it,” said Alsobrooks.

“Robert Kennedy’s tenure as America’s chief health officer has been higher costs, more chaos and boundless corruption,” Wyden said. “His actions are endangering children, leaving parents confused and scared, and forcing families and taxpayers to pay more for their health care. Democrats knew from the start that Robert Kennedy would be a disastrous health secretary – it’s time for Republicans to step up and hold him accountable for his actions.”

After the report’s release, Public Citizen released the following statement: “Public Citizen applauds Sen. Alsobrooks for shining a spotlight on Secretary Kennedy’s terrible track record heading the Department of Health and Human Services. President Trump and Senate Republicans made a grievous error when entrusting Kennedy with our nation’s health, with results both horrible and entirely predictable. It is far past time that President Trump rectifies this error by firing Kennedy before more lives are unnecessarily put at risk by Kennedy’s anti-science views and gross mismanagement.”

The report tallies daily actions to undermine Americans’ health and safety in the 203+ days since Kennedy was sworn in. It also includes case studies that provide a deep dive into how higher costs, non-stop chaos, and widespread corruption are the centerpieces of his agenda. The report concludes by recounting the lies and broken promises Kennedy made to the Senate during his confirmation process.
