After a contentious hearing, Maryland Sens. Angela Alsobrooks and Chris van Hollen, as well as 21 Democratic U.S. Senators, filed a Resolution of Disapproval against Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Alsobrooks spoke on her viewpoints for Kennedy on MSNBC.
“So we’ve seen scientists who have been fired,” Alsobrooks said. “We have seen all of these conspiracy theories around vaccines, during a time, by the way, when we are seeing an influx and an increase in measles outbreaks.”
Alsobrooks told MSNBC that those are some of the ways Kennedy has harmed Americans’ health and should resign.
“He lied when he said there were no working scientists that he would fire,” she added. “So he’s lied to all of our faces, and this is the reason you are hearing the drumbeat of people who are now questioning him.”
